If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you should refrain from using the website, making a reservation, dining at the venue, or participating in any card lounge or offline poker activities.

Restaurant Conduct

Clover & Candle is designed as a tranquil, premium Australian dining destination. All guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully towards other patrons and our team members at all times, fostering a calm and welcoming environment.

• Guests must follow the reasonable instructions of Clover & Candle staff regarding seating, service flow, and venue safety.
• Disruptive, aggressive, intimidating, or disrespectful behaviour towards other guests or staff is not permitted and may result in removal from the venue.
• Appropriate attire and personal hygiene standards are required to maintain our refined restaurant atmosphere.
• Use of venue furnishings, decor, and facilities must be respectful; any deliberate damage or misuse may result in charges for repair or replacement.

Card Lounge Etiquette

The Clover & Candle card lounge and card room have been created as refined, friendly, and inclusive spaces for social card play. Guests are expected to respect the space, amenities, and fellow card players at all times.

• All card lounge activities, including social poker evenings and private poker sessions, are conducted in a spirit of friendly competition and community.
• Guests should treat poker tables, symbolic poker chips, cards, and accessories with care and use them only as intended.
• Harassment, unsporting behaviour, or verbal abuse towards other card lounge guests or staff is strictly prohibited.
• Guests must follow seating and table allocation instructions provided by Clover & Candle hosts to ensure a balanced and enjoyable card room experience.
• Noise should be kept to a considerate level so that all guests can enjoy both the restaurant and card lounge ambiance.

Offline Poker Policy

All offline poker sessions, social poker nights, and card lounge events at Clover & Candle are designed exclusively for recreational social entertainment. Our poker tables, symbolic poker chips, and card play are provided for friendly, non-financial enjoyment only.

• All activities involving offline poker, Texas Hold'em evenings, and other friendly card games utilise symbolic poker chips that hold no monetary value.
• No form of gambling, betting, wagering, or real-money play is permitted at any time within the restaurant, card room, or lounge.
• Guests must not exchange money, valuables, or any form of consideration based on the outcome of recreational card play.
• Any attempt to introduce financial stakes, side arrangements, or informal wagering into offline poker or card lounge activities is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal from the venue.
• Clover & Candle reserves the right to modify, pause, or conclude any card lounge or offline poker activity if the recreational nature of play is compromised.

This recreational offline poker policy applies equally to weekly poker nights, private poker bookings, corporate poker evenings, and all social poker events hosted at Clover & Candle.

Reservations and Bookings

Clover & Candle offers reservations for restaurant dining and for access to selected card lounge and offline poker experiences. By making a reservation, you agree to comply with the booking terms set out below.

• Accuracy of information: Guests are responsible for providing accurate contact details, guest numbers, and preferred times when placing a reservation.
• Confirmation: Reservations are considered confirmed only once you receive a confirmation message from Clover & Candle using the contact details you provided.
• Arrival times: Guests are requested to arrive on time. Late arrivals may result in reduced seating durations or, in some cases, forfeiture of the reservation if other guests are waiting.
• Cancellations and changes: Cancellations or amendments should be made as early as possible. Clover & Candle may apply minimum notice periods, guest minimums, or other conditions, which will be communicated at the time of booking where relevant.
• Minimum spends or set menus: Certain peak periods, group bookings, or special poker evenings may involve minimum spends or set menu requirements, which will be outlined prior to confirmation.

Private Events

Clover & Candle hosts group dining, private offline poker evenings, and corporate social gatherings that showcase our restaurant and card lounge in a tailored format. All private events must comply with these Terms and Conditions as well as any additional event-specific agreements.

• Event organisers are responsible for ensuring that all guests attending a private poker night or group dining event are aware of and follow venue rules, including the recreational nature of offline poker and card lounge activities.
• Details such as event duration, menu selections, use of the card room, and any bespoke poker tables or social poker formats will be agreed in advance with Clover & Candle.
• Deposit requirements, cancellation terms, and minimum guest numbers may apply and will be communicated as part of your event proposal and confirmation.
• Use of decorations, audio-visual equipment, or external suppliers must be approved by Clover & Candle in advance to ensure safety and to preserve the ambience of our venue.

Corporate poker nights and private poker sessions hosted at Clover & Candle must always remain recreational, with symbolic poker chips used solely for social entertainment and no financial stakes involved.

Age Policy

Clover & Candle welcomes guests of all ages for restaurant dining, subject to responsible supervision of minors by their parent or guardian. To protect guests and maintain compliance with Australian regulations, additional age requirements apply to our card lounge and offline poker activities.

• The general restaurant area is an all-ages space where families and younger guests are welcome.
• Participation in card lounge activities, access to designated poker tables, and involvement in offline poker evenings is restricted to adults aged 18 years and over.
• Guests may be asked to present valid identification to confirm age before entering the card room or joining any social poker activity.
• Clover & Candle reserves the right to refuse card lounge access or offline poker participation if age cannot be appropriately verified.

Responsible Play Commitment

• Team members may, at their discretion, suggest a pause or change of pace if a guest appears uncomfortable or overly focused on outcomes.
• Any concerns regarding the conduct or wellbeing of guests during poker evenings or private poker sessions can be raised directly with Clover & Candle staff.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Clover & Candle, its owners, and team members accept no liability for loss, damage, or injury arising from misuse of venue facilities or noncompliance with these Terms and Conditions.

• Guests are responsible for their own belongings at all times. Clover & Candle is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property within the restaurant, card lounge, or surrounding areas.
• Guests must use furniture, fixtures, poker tables, and symbolic poker chips correctly and safely. Clover & Candle is not responsible for injuries arising from improper use or failure to follow staff instructions.
• Disputes between guests regarding recreational card play, social poker outcomes, or seating arrangements should be raised promptly with staff for a fair and calm resolution. Clover & Candle’s decision in managing such disputes will be final within the venue.
• Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Australian consumer law.

Changes to Terms

Clover & Candle may update or change these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect adjustments in our operations, legal requirements, or guest experience standards.
